HOW IT ALL BEGAN

CMI is a ministry birthed from the burden to reach out to people around the globe. CMI members testify of the transforming power of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and His imminent return. CMI is determined to tell the world of His abounding love and grace.

In 1998, the Lord laid a burden upon the heart of Rev. Mark D. Boykin to form a ministry that would advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. By the end of that year, Christian Ministries International (CMI) Fellowship was birthed.

This ministry was incorporated in the State of Florida as a not-for-profit corporation. In 2001, CMI petitioned the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to be approved as a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) tax exempt entity. CMI was granted its tax exempt status on October 16, 2001 retroactive to its inception in 1998. Since its inception, CMI has granted credentials to many ministers around the world and sponsored mission efforts, aid to schools and orphanages, and medical “clinics”.

Rev. Mark Boykin’s passion and focus, shared by those involved with CMI, is evangelism and missions. “Starting first with the family and spreading the Gospel to the nations, evangelism and missions must issue forth from a body equipped to do the work of the ministry … well trained in the Gospel mandate.”

Ministers are encouraged to fellowship and are offered meeting times to gather for prayer, study and edification.

CMI equips leaders, pastors, ministers and lay people through formal and informal venues. We host conferences and seminars around the world and adapt training programs to meet specific and/or cultural needs. CMI endorses courses offered in biblical studies and ministerial degrees through The Fire Institute located in Boca Raton, Florida as well as other established schools in the US and various other countries.
