February 19, 2009 Report from Kolar Gold Fields, India

We are blessed and encouraged in the Lord to write you, to keep you informed and updated of the ministerial happenings over here in Kolar Gold Fields, India, and to receive encouraging replies that keep us on the upbeat in doing the work of the Lord.

Now that we have come to the 19th day of the Early Morning Prayer Campaign, we had more than 1500 people attending prayer as early as 4:45 to 6:30 am.  We feel and we believe that God is going to do something in our town, Kolar Gold Fields.  Day by day the people attending the prayer are increasing and I am able to see many new faces each day.

The Lord is honoring our faith and we are hearing testimonies of how God did things in people’s lives.  One of the highlights is 18 new souls were baptized in water last Sunday.  One young man, who is suffering from bone cancer and was declared by the doctors that he will not live for a few days, has been able to live six years because of our continued prayers.  He finally was baptized last Sunday.

A fundamentalist by the name of Raghu, who was all out for the Hindu outfit, mocking and threatening Christians, got saved and was baptized last Sunday. His spectacular testimony is the result of praying.

We have only two days left to conclude this Prayer Campaign and have decided to have an Early Morning Prayer meeting once a month on the first day of the month.  Apart from this, we are having daily devotions everyday early morning 6:00 to 6:30 am.

Altogether on a consolidated total, we have fed 16,000 people so far and have hired 110 auto rickshaws (Tri Wheelers) everyday to bring people to the church and to take them back home.  This prayer meeting has become the talk of the town.  We pray for leaders of the government and for all basic social issues.

Almost 52 churches in this district have been represented at this prayer meeting.  Every day we pray for you by name and we believe that God will bless you through this prayer drive.

We are looking forward for a grand celebration as this Prayer Campaign concludes on the 22nd of February 2009.  We expect to feed around 2000 poor people with breakfast and we believe that this would be a blessing for them and for us.  We want to be as the salt and light on this earth.  We thank you for your prayers on our behalf.

There are many needs in the ministry, kindly pray that God meet all these needs.

Shall be reporting to you again.  May God bless you richly.

Sincerely in Christ Jesus, FRANK GODBERG.

Report from KGF in India - February 10, 2009

By God’s grace and through all of your prayers, today (10th Day) the attendance at our church for the early morning 21 Day Prayer Campaign from 5:00 a.m. to 6:30 am surpassed 1200.  We are seeing a positive trend in people growing in numbers seeking God and lifting their voices unto Him that their petition may be heard.

By God’s immense grace and His merciful provisions, until now we have been providing breakfast for all of them who attend prayers and have provided transportation for those of them who come from remote areas through Auto Rickshaws (Tri Wheelers).  Around 95 auto rickshaws ply every day to ferry people to and from our church back home.

This Prayer Campaign is very unique and unheard of making history in our town, Kolar Gold Fields, and this has become the talk of the town.

Please continue to pray for the fundamentalists who are continuously oppressing and bringing hurdles to the Christian community.  Your prayers are highly valued and earnestly sought on our behalf and at the same time we assure our fervent prayers on your behalf.

Your Humble Servant in Christ Jesus,

FRANK GODBERG

Prayer Initiative Report from Kolar Gold Fields, India

The 2nd of February 2009, being the launch of the 21 Day Prayer Campaign, God blessed the start by bringing in souls from all the directions of our town. This is the first of its kind in Kolar Gold Fields, and hundreds of people came into the church everyday as early as 4:45 am. For the first 30 minutes the church is led to pray in the Spirit and tongues. The next half hour the church is led in praise and worship and the last 30 minutes is divided into two parts - the first 10 minutes for the exhortation of the Word and 20 minutes for prayer and supplication.

We would like to assure you of our sincere and fervent prayers during these days of intensive prayer. We expect great results from the Lord by the end of this prayer campaign.

Breakfast is being served everyday for all those who come for the Prayer Meeting and we provide transportation for every person. It is a blessing doing this stretching work for me personally but still I rejoice in the Lord to make this sacrifice for the Body of Christ to be refined and to grow in the Lord. The people coming in for the morning prayers are growing in numbers everyday and we thank God for this development.

Your humble servant, Frank Godberg
